Why robots will replace human workers in factories

Robots will replace the majority of workers in the global manufacturing sector within a decade, according to a report published Monday.

Robots, software and data analytics could replace the traditional human workforce in the manufacturing sector by 2030, according the International Council of Robotics.

The report said that automation will increase the value of goods and services and make the process of buying and selling more efficient, while it will also bring about an increase in productivity.

Robot workers could help boost the world’s productivity by eliminating the need for human labor and improving worker safety, the report said.
