The Next Step

In an effort to address consumer privacy concerns, Apple has launched a new app called “The Next Step” that can be downloaded for free.

It lets users “check your privacy, check your device data, and even manage your privacy settings,” as Apple explains.

Apple has been slowly rolling out similar privacy controls in its iOS and Mac software, and the company has even developed a way to “lock your screen” to ensure that users do not accidentally take screenshots of their iPhones or iPads.

The new app, which is also available for free, has been a big hit with consumers and users of the App Store, where it has racked up thousands of downloads and been featured on the front page of Apple’s website.
